Framework Agreement from the UK Government Procurement Service

August 31, 2011 – Azeus Systems today announced that Government Procurement Service (previously known as Buying Solutions) has awarded Azeus Systems Limited a framework agreement, namely the Local Government Software Application Solutions framework (RM865), for the provision of social care as well as other application solutions to public bodies.

The Government Procurement Service (www.buyingsolutions.gov.uk), an executive agency of the Cabinet Office in the United Kingdom, is responsible for procurement services for Government and the UK public sector. Its overall priority is to provide procurement savings for central government, health and organisations across the UK public sector through centralised sourcing.

The Framework Agreement will cover the provision of software applications together with the related goods and services which are necessary for the implementation, delivery and operation of the software applications for the following areas:

  • Social Care and Education
  • Libraries, Museums and Leisure
  • Social Housing
  • Planning

This framework can be used by local government authorities throughout the whole of the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Through the framework agreement, Azeus can offer and provide social care as well as other software applications or systems along with related services to government bodies or Councils.

Azeus’ Managing Director Mr Wan Lik Lee commented:

“We are delighted to have been awarded this framework agreement. This is an important milestone for Azeus, which will pave the way for our expansion into the UK market.”

Mr Lee attributes the award of the framework agreement to Azeus’ strength in design, implementation, delivery and maintenance of software application systems, which have met all international standards and stringent requirements of UK contracts.
