September 5, 2014 – After successfully participating in a series of events in the UK, Convene will be exhibited at the Chartered Secretaries Malaysia (MAICSA) Annual Conference on September 9 to 10, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Connexion@Nexus, Bangsar South City in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mr. Jerry Chua, our business development manager will represent Convene at the conference, along with Mr. Roland Avelino, one of our software developers for the application.

This year, the theme of the conference is “Challenges of the Changing Corporate and Regulatory Landscape.” Topics up for discussion include the many ways changing legislation and policies will have an impact on the corporate sector. Company secretaries, corporate officers, and board directors will attend the conference to learn more about the latest regulatory updates and developments in governance. Lawyers, accountants, governance professionals, company advisers, academicians and students will also be there to join.

In line with the theme, Convene’s booth visitors will be shown how board portals can have a positive impact on corporate governance. Many organisations are still concerned about transitioning to remote board meetings, so Convene will try to address the usual concerns related to the subject. The Convene team’s aim is to let attendees know that with their secure and highly usable digital solution, boards become much more effective and productive than they can ever be with paper-based meetings.
