Convene Back at MAICSA in Kuala Lumpur

August 17, 2016 – From August 8 to 9, Convene returned to one of the first events attended back in 2014, the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA) Annual Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is the third consecutive year Azeus has participated, the experience was nothing short of pleasant and productive.

The MAICSA Annual Conference is an excellent platform for company secretaries, directors, and corporate officers to keep abreast with the latest regulatory updates and developments in governance. For 2016, the theme was Sustainability – Shaping the Future, which is in line with Malaysia’s goal to be a fully developed nation by 2020. Sustainable and inclusive growth plays a key role in achieving this end, as it helps the country compete in a globally connected world.

As a board portal solution that replaces paper-based board meetings, Convene fits with Malaysia’s sustainability target. First and foremost, it helps organizations use up fewer resources and become more environment-friendly by cutting down their paper usage. Convene also increases transparency by keeping records of every action and decision, and improves communication by allowing virtual collaboration anytime and anywhere. These three key elements, when taken together, help organizations to become competitive even on a global scale.

We demonstrated Convene’s capabilities to people who dropped by our booth, both prospective clients and current customers. They were interested to see everything Convene can do, but most visitors were particularly keen on how Convene can easily disseminate information to everyone, regardless of how big or small a group is. Meeting invitations, changes of schedule, notices of document updates — all these can be sent out instantly and received in real time.
