Azeus Reappraised at CMMI Level 5

March 31, 2012 – After an intense two-week appraisal, Azeus Systems Holdings Ltd., including its locations in Hong Kong, Manila, Cebu, and China (Dalian), was rated at Level 5 (the highest), under the Capability Maturity Model for Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) V1.3. This version of CMMI, V1.3, has a stricter interpretation and appraisal as compared to the previous versions as it is more focused on the processes associated with high level maturity.

The appraisal covered 22 software development processes ranging from project planning and monitoring, to software development and testing. All the processes that were examined passed the maturity level they were assigned, and in the end, the findings indicated that Azeus continues to operate at Level 5 maturity. Achieving Level 5 (Optimizing) assessment means that Azeus strives for continuous improvement of the company’s processes and practices resulting in better quality of products and services, which translates to client satisfaction and their continued confidence in Azeus.

Azeus Managing Director Mr. Wan Lik Lee express fulfillment with the outcome of the reappraisal: “I’m glad that the findings of the appraisal continues to reflect Azeus’ core ideals, which are quality and excellence. This is our branding that has gained the confidence of our clients, and a guarantee to them that our products and IT services are of world-class quality.”

CMMI was devised by the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, and is the de facto standard in the IT industry for measuring the maturity of an organization’s ability to deliver IT services.
