Azeus Continues to Set the Standard in the Hybrid AGM Landscape

Singapore, May 23, 2022 — Azeus Systems Holdings Ltd. (Azeus) saw a significant uplift in shareholder engagement and participation during this 2022 AGM season for its digital shareholder meeting solution, with over 80 general meetings facilitated as of April. Since the start of the year, approximately 50% of the ConveneAGM meetings conducted were of an interactive nature, and increasingly with live voting and live Q&A. This is the default practice and the desirable new norm.

  • ConveneAGM has facilitated over 80 general meetings in April alone with industry best practices, and increasingly with live voting and live Q&A
  • Approximately 50% of eAGMs are now fully interactive, offering full participation to shareholders
  • Strong demand is expected for hybrid meetings, offering the best of both worlds (physical and virtual)

StarHub Ltd is a prime example of embracing innovation and corporate transparency. The company held a fully virtual AGM and EGM with live Q&A and voting recently, allowing its shareholders to submit questions and vote electronically. iFAST Corporation is another good example of a corporation that has enabled various stakeholders, such as media, analysts, and observers, to attend their meetings physically and virtually through the ConveneAGM platform.

CEO of Azeus Group, Michael Yap shared, “We saw the emergence of hybrid AGM as the new format as it encompasses the best of both worlds — shareholders who would like face-to-face interaction can join physically, and shareholders who are overseas or those who prefer the convenience of not having to travel can join virtually, seamlessly and with ease. The rights to ask questions and vote are preserved in whichever mode shareholders prefer to attend. We expect strong demand for hybrid meeting solutions to continue, driven by shareholders’ needs for greater transparency and accountability.

In April alone, ConveneAGM has powered hybrid meetings for some of the most established and forward-looking companies, such as Centurion Corporation Limited, ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited, Genting Singapore Limited, iFAST Corporation, SBS Transit Ltd., VICOM LTD, and Wilmar International Limited. Assistant Company Secretary and Legal Counsel of Wilmar International, Ho Zhuanglin, remarked that “Our first hybrid meeting went so smoothly with everyone playing their part competently, especially the ‘producer’ (Convene)”.
