The proposal writer is responsible for producing proposals for submission to prospective clients. The job entails not only writing the actual proposal, but also gathering information, liaising with various teams, and consolidating different sections into documents for submission.
The proposal writer is in a unique and advantageous position of working directly with decision-makers within the company, and sometimes with the prospective clients themselves.
The proposal writer is part of a team of other proposal writers, and reports directly to the proposal/bid manager.
Responsibilities
  • Write persuasive proposals for software solutions to pitch to prospective clients in the public, private, and nonprofit sector
  • Liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders to gatherthe information needed for a proposal
  • Consolidate and organize information from various sources to produce the final copy for submission
  • Meet all internal and external deadlines for the different stages of the proposal process
  • Help maintain a content library for standard writeups, FAQs, and other content related to proposals
  • Provide compelling copy for our websites, social media accounts, marketing collaterals, product documentations, client communications, training modules and user manual
Qualifications
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication or related major
  • Preferably with at least 1 year related work experience in business writing
  • Background knowledge in IT (an advantage, not a must)
  • Has background in writing proposals, grants and procurement bids
  • Has excellent communication skills (writing, verbal, listening)
  • Has solid grasp of English grammar, spelling, and usage
  • Has strong attention to details
  • Has solid organizational and coordination skills
  • Comfortable with using Microsoft Word and Google Workspace
  • Results-driven and able to work under pressure
  • Able to learn business domain within a short span of time
  • Possesses a business mindset and excellent time management skills
  • Works well independently or with a team
  • Willing to work overtime when needed
  • Familiar with business writing style
  • Responsible and reliable
