Azeus successfully completed a Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)-based system prototype on a Nokia wireless phone for Hewlett-Packard (HP) Hong Kong. The system allows users with microbrowser-equipped phones instant access to information and services directly from the Internet. The prototype already has the capability to generate menus, provide search functions and handle session logs.

A full WAP-based Point-of-Sales (POS) system was completed for demonstration in a WAP Exposition that was held in Hong Kong. With the huge growth of cellular services and the explosion of e-commerce opportunities, Azeus' expansion in the WAP-based applications will soon cover services such as web page browsing, e-banking, e-mail, booking/reservation and ticketing, to name a few.
