Feasibility Study for an Intelligence System for Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department New!

The Hong Kong Customs & Excise Department (C&ED) is responsible for detecting and suppressing illegal activities while facilitating trade and collection of revenues. In order to meet the increasing needs of intelligence-led and technology-driven customs services, C&ED intended to establish a central intelligence system, by adopting appropriate technologies to improve the way it handles intelligence and risk management.

Azeus was commissioned to conduct the feasibility study of the Intelligence System (IS) to meet business needs in handling intelligence and operations of C&ED. The feasibility study suggested aligning the need of key stakeholders with process re-engineering to improve C&ED's operations. The study proposed a pragmatic approach to delivering a convergent and cost-effective information system solution.
