| Cervical Screening Information System (CSIS) for Hong Kong Department of Health New! The Department of Health (DH) of the Hong Kong Government is the foremost health authority and agency that carries out health care policies and statutory functions. In order to centralize its scattered databases containing data on women's cervical screening, DH engaged Azeus to develop a Cervical Screening Information System (CSIS) that is highly accessible to the general public, service providers and laboratory through the Internet, and by DH users for data collection and manipulation.
With CSIS, users can get and view sensitive personal cervical screening information displayed in English and Chinese. CSIS served around 1.2 million public users, 3000 service providers and 300 laboratories around the clock. The system offered a central registry for cervical screening information, with screening management features that:
- supports centralized quality assurance mechanism among service providers to enable centralized view of an individual's screening data history, and
- supports call-recall mechanism to remind women who are due for a cervical smear.
With its robust information tools, CSIS helped recruit the maximum number of eligible women into the Cervical Screening Programme (CSP). |
